Look in the chest at the bottom of an igloo, not in the snow hut itself. Flurry is a music disc by Hyper Potions. In Bedrock Preview 26.70.23, each eligible igloo chest has a 30% chance to contain it. If the igloo has no basement, there is no chest to check.
Which version has Flurry?
On November 3, Mojang introduced the disc in two test builds. Check the version on your title screen before you start exploring. A preview announcement is not a stable release announcement.
| Edition | Confirmed build | What the release notes say |
|---|---|---|
| Bedrock | Preview 26.70.23 | Igloo chest; 30% chance. |
| Java | 26.4 Snapshot 7 | Can appear in igloo basement chests. A jukebox playing Flurry gives a comparator signal of 7. |
From snowy biome to basement chest
- Start in a test world. Use a new world or a copy in the matching build. If you play on a server, check its edition and version too; changing your client does not update its worlds.
- Look for a low snow-block hut. Search a snowy biome and go inside. If using a seed map, match the edition and generation version first. A marker suggests where to look; it does not tell you what is in the chest.
- Lift the carpet and check for a trapdoor. Only some igloos have the ladder down to a basement, as explained in Minecraft’s structure guide. If there is no entrance beneath the carpet, move on to another igloo.
- Climb down and open the chest. Look for the item named Flurry. If the chest has other loot but no disc, reopening it will not give you another roll. Mark that igloo as searched and try a different basement.

How many chests does it take?
We compared Mojang’s igloo loot files for Bedrock Preview 26.70.22 and 26.70.23. The latter adds one roll for minecraft:music_disc_flurry with random_chance set to 0.3. That is a chance per eligible chest, not a guarantee for every third igloo.
For example, with three independent, previously unsearched basement chests, the chance of finding at least one disc is 65.7%: 1 − 0.7³. Even after those three chests, there is a 34.3% chance of coming away empty-handed. This is a calculation from the Bedrock loot table, not a count of discs found in play or an estimate for Java.
Playing Flurry and sharing the find
Hold the disc and use it on a jukebox. In Java Snapshot 7, try placing a comparator so it reads the jukebox: Mojang documents a signal strength of 7 while Flurry plays. That gives you a second way to recognize the track in a redstone build.
To share an igloo with friends, send the edition, full build, seed and X/Y/Z coordinates together. Coordinates from another world are not directions in yours. Our Chunk Base guide explains how to match a map to your world; our Minecraft seed guide offers other worlds to explore.
