Java and Bedrock use different protocols and ports. Choosing the correct edition prevents an active server from appearing offline.

Does the server appear offline?
An offline result does not always mean the process is stopped. Check these items before trying again.
- Confirm that you entered the domain or IP address players actually use.
- Add the port when it differs from 25565 for Java or 19132 for Bedrock.
- Wait for the server to finish starting after a restart or update.
- Make sure the firewall accepts public traffic and the DNS or SRV record points to the correct destination.
