Do you need to delete your world?
I would not make that decision based on the announcement alone. First establish how the content reaches your chosen version and what happens in your particular world. Deleting or regenerating regions can remove builds; it should not be treated as a routine prerequisite for new content.
Before intervening, identify occupied areas, record important coordinates, and retain a complete backup. If you choose a separate event world, explain which progress persists and what will reset. How to measure whether the event worked
You do not need invented benchmarks. Record registrations, attendance, completion, and incidents that interrupt the route. If 12 players registered and 9 participated, attendance was 9 ÷ 12 × 100 = 75%. This is an illustrative calculation, not a Wilderness Bound adoption statistic.
For technical observations, retain comparable conditions: player count, route, and measurement tools. Do not automatically attribute a disconnect to insufficient RAM or promise that switching hosting fixes a software incompatibility.
